Was the Holy Spirit not given to man until Pentecost?

God’s Spirit has been available to man since the beginning. The Old Testament is full of examples of this (see below).

When Jesus went back to heaven, he sent The Comforter to be with us and a special Former Rain was given to the disciples who put away sin and were all of one mind at Pentecost to enable them to spread the gospel with power.

A special Latter Rain will be given as well near the very end to give the loud cry of Revelation 14 and finish the work so Jesus can return.
