When is Jesus coming back? – Page 4

And it gets more interesting. Just before the Israelites were to leave Egypt, God told Moses to select the Passover Lamb. This Lamb was to be male and without blemish (signifying Christ).

God said to select the Lamb on the 10th day of the month, however not to kill it right away. God said to wait 4 days, and then kill it on the 14th day of the month.

God does everything for a reason. There is no randomness in God’s plans and purposes.

Why did God tell Moses to have the people wait 4 days, and then kill the Lamb? Why not just kill it right away? There is obviously some significance to this:

Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

Exodus 12:3,5,6

God had the Israelites wait 4 days to signify 4 prophetic one thousand year days of Earth’s history before Christ would come to die for our sins and bring the entire world back into harmony with God for all those who believe.

Christ is our Passover Lamb – the Lamb slain from the foundation, or creation, of the world:

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

1 Corinthians 5:7

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Revelation 13:8

In addition, the genealogies of Luke line up perfectly with the 4000-year prediction. You can create your own spreadsheet and work it out yourself. We know the ages of the fathers of their sons at birth for most of the first part of the genealogies, however we had to make some assumptions on the latter half as we just don’t know. Considering we’re dealing with thousands of years here however, it’s incredibly close! Notice how it comes out to just over 4000 years! (And if we knew the actual ages, it would come out to exactly 4000 years ;):
